Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support unit-dose distribution and IV admixture under pharmacist supervision. You will process orders, prepare IV medications, label and package supplies, and assist the pharmacist with daily tasks while ensuring safety and accuracy.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPhT or ExCPT within 24 months of hire, and PA Board registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Technician before start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT required within 24 months of hire.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician with PA State Board required before start date (effective June 28, 2026).

Responsibilities

• Delivers routine, stat and floor-stock medications including controlled substances.
• Fills routine orders for unit dose carts and prepackaged pharmaceuticals under pharmacist supervision.
• Compounds, stocks, repackages and batches IV medications; prepares IV admixtures.
• Performs data entry, charges processing, and supports inventory and billing functions.
• Maintains clean, safe, and compliant work environment and uses pharmacy technology (ADCs, BCMA).
