Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolina CARE Pharmacy in Charlotte is seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Technician to join the 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. The role includes dispensing medications, preparing non-sterile products, and entering orders in the computer system. Sign-on bonus eligibility applies based on eligibility.

Licensure: State of Wisconsin registration required; PTCB or ExCPT certification within two years of hire. High school graduate with PTCB certification is required.

Qualifications

• Good mathematics and attention to detail are required.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer skills are essential.
• High school diploma and PTCB certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop competence in dispensing and delivery of medications using information systems and automation.
• Prepare non-sterile products following USP/state/federal recommendations.
• Enter medication orders in the computer system and process requests digitally.
• Handle calls from customers, nurses, physicians or patients with timely resolution or escalation.
• Adhere to pharmacy procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards and required procedures.
