HOME DELIVERY PHARMACY

Pharmacy Technician I – Certified PRN role 1st 8am-5pm (no guarantee hours)

Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Tech I-Certified PRN role to join our Home Delivery Pharmacy team, delivering optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time.

Essential functions include:
  • Processing, preparation, and filling of prescriptions
  • Performing non-sterile compounding and repackaging
  • Answering and screening telephone calls, referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate
  • Using point-of-sale to support customer service needs
  • Supporting medication shipping by preparing supplies and restocking ice packs
  • Packaging, shipping, and tracking packages to ensure timely delivery and medication integrity
  • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software
  • Processing prescriptions promptly to meet patient needs
  • Transcribing orders from prescribers under pharmacist supervision
  • Using EPIC/Patient Management system to review and process prescriptions
  • Supporting inventory management

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
  • One year relevant experience preferred; experience included if holding an Associate's Degree in Pharm Tech
  • Current pharmacy registry with applicable State Board(s) required
  • PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPGEE/FPGEC required
  • State registration and renewal evidence required for Pharmacists and Technicians, with certification through PTCB or NHA or active enrollment in pharmacy studies
  • Strong math, communication, and technology skills; ability to work across multiple locations and as part of a resilient team
