Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to register by first day of work (includes FBI background fingerprints).
• Experience: 1 year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required for Tech I; Tech II require 1 year with 2 years preferred; Tech III requires 3 years.

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state & local laws for the care and safety of customers and patients.
• Support the pharmacy team and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

Tech I:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.

Tech II

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Tech III

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 3-year relevant pharmacy experience required
• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
