Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. The role reports to the supervising pharmacist and adheres to federal, state, and local laws for patient safety.

The position is part-time (24 hours) with duties including pharmacy department orientation and meeting licensure requirements with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. A 1-year pharmacy background is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit registration by first day of work (including fingerprints for FBI background check).
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.

• Experience: 3-year relevant pharmacy experience required
• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
