Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Hampton, VA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide exceptional health and wellness services. You will support pharmacists, handle data entry, reception, adjudication, and dispensing while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will maintain confidential information, complete CLIA-waived screenings where allowed, coach junior staff, and uphold sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring pharmacist judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience in reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing.
• Coach and train clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications per regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services via various platforms.
• Conduct CLIA-waived screenings per laws and policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed.
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activity (robbery/theft/fraud).
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
