Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver excellent patient care in a compliant setting. You will assist with reception, data entry, dispensing, and non-dispensing health services while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities include compounding per regulations, auditing prescriptions, coaching junior staff, and ensuring proper sanitation and safety across the store pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide health and wellness services while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Assist pharmacist in duties that do not require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Deliver stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing.
• Coach and train clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications per state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data matches records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as allowed by law and policy.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as permitted.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity when observed.
• Demonstrate ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
