Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide health and wellness services, assist pharmacists, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires handling confidential information and maintaining required registrations or licensure.

Responsibilities include HIPAA adherence, data entry, dispensing support, coaching of staff, and performing CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with state and federal law. Strong focus on safety and sanitation across the location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license
• Assist pharmacist in duties not requiring pharmacist judgment
• Provide a stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing
• Support the coaching and training of clerks/technicians
• Compound medications per state regulations
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and applications
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per state/federal law and company policies
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulations
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report illegal activity
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with/without accommodation
