Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking an attentive Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives and assist pharmacists in routine duties at our store location.

The role requires adherence to HIPAA regulations, strict handling of confidential information, and maintaining current licensure as required by state laws. You will perform reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing steps accurately while contributing to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date national/state registration, certification or licensure.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing steps.
• Support coaching and training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services via various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as per state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by regulations.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
