Job summary

Avera is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support drug preparation, storage, distribution, and inventory management in various pharmacy settings at the Sioux Falls location. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to ensure accurate labeling and timely medication delivery, while collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to promote patient safety.

Requirements include a registered Pharmacy Technician credential upon hire and (preferred) an Associate's degree.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and communicate effectively with others.
• Requires visual acuity and ability to distinguish speech and other sounds.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with board certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision, inputs and prepares labels and medication orders to maintain efficient delivery.
• Communicates with nursing staff, physicians, customers, coworkers, and management to promote patient safety.
• Maintains records and supports inventory and billing within the pharmacy department.
