Position Summary:

Day In The Life:

As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, you will perform order entry tasks and collaborate with team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed-door pharmacy. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and response required.
  2. Calculating and verifying correct dosages based on prescriptions.
  3. Assisting in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure timely processing.
  4. Providing dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other computer-flagged items.
  5. Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
  6. Hours for this Role: Monday to Friday, 9 am - 6 pm, every other Saturday and Sunday. Occasionally, a Monday to Friday, 12 pm - 9:15 pm shift (every three weeks).
The Team:

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings. Although Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public, you'll work amongst great colleagues in a supportive environment aligned with the company's mission, allowing our customers to focus on giving their patients the best care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills/experience, but not required:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
  • PTCB National Certification.
Education:
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65. This range represents the base hourly rate or full-time annual salary, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
