Tech Field Consultant (Hardware/ATMs/Pneumatics)
Optomi, in partnership with a fast-growing technology services provider for financial institutions, is seeking Tech Field Consultants to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of ATM systems, pneumatic tube systems, Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs), ITMs, and more. Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 1–5 years of experience with hardware installation, repair, or field service!
- Experience with ATM systems, ITMs, or pneumatic systems (Diebold, Hamilton, Bavis, Eagle) strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on work
- Familiarity with networking and system configuration (e.g., setting IPs, troubleshooting connections)
- Former techs, field service workers, mechanics, cable installers, or military techs often excel in this role
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check and drug screen
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Install, configure, and repair ATM machines, ITMs, pneumatic tube systems, TCRs, safes, kiosks, and other banking equipment
- Travel daily in a company van to customer locations throughout assigned region
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving hardware, cabling, basic networking, and software configuration
- Participate in daily dispatch operations and respond to service calls efficiently and professionally
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability
- Log service activity, maintain detailed records, and communicate findings to management
- Interact with clients onsite with a customer-first attitude and professional demeanor
