Job summary

COMMUNITY CARE OF WEST VIRGINIA INC in Marlinton, WV seeks a Pharmacy Technician to prepare medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will transcribe orders, prepare unit doses, and assist with billing and administrative tasks while maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and departmental procedures.

You will work in a team-oriented environment, handle patient interactions professionally, and participate in policy updates, inventory control, and continuing training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program or minimum 1 year of on-the-job training.
• National certification required.
• State licensing, as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications under direct pharmacist supervision.
• Read and transcribe physicians' orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare unit doses and compounds under supervision.
• Dispense patient prescriptions after pharmacist approval.
• Assist with billing using proper reason codes and dates.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and participate in meetings.
