Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications within regulatory guidelines. You will interact with customers, answer questions, and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist to ensure accurate service.

You will maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace organized and compliant with HIPAA and state laws.

Qualifications

• Proficient in customer interaction and handling inquiries.
• Experience with data entry, medication preparation, and order processing within regulatory limits.
• Accurate prescription input, labeling, calculations and record management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining workflow and compliance.
• Familiarity with prescription terminology, dosage forms and product recognition.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including patient and provider interactions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and federal/state pharmacy laws.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and assist with data entry and medication preparation under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Enter and manage prescription data and maintain accurate records.
• Direct clinical questions to the pharmacist and communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain organization by restocking supplies and keeping the workspace clean.
