Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to process prescriptions, enter data, and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.

You will interact with customers, answer questions, and direct clinical inquiries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and state/federal laws. You will maintain an organized pharmacy, restock supplies, and support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 depending on location requirements).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations; read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing prescriptions, data entry, and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain organization: restock supplies and keep the workspace clean while following regulations.
• Interact with customers: answer questions, process transactions, and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
