Job summary

Emerald Specialty Pharmacy is building a new specialty pharmacy and seeks adaptable Pharmacy Technicians. You'll work with pharmacists, members, providers, payers, and the team to ensure timely medication access and quality service.

The role covers prescription processing, data entry, benefit investigations, order fulfillment, inventory, and shipping. Requires at least 2 years in pharmacy ops and a CPhT certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience in pharmacy operations, specialty pharmacy, fulfillment, claims administration, mail-order pharmacy, or related healthcare setting.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT); compliance with state requirements for pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescriptions from intake through completion with accuracy and compliance.
  • Enter prescription, member, provider, and insurance information into pharmacy management systems.
  • Review documentation for completeness and identify discrepancies requiring follow-up.
  • Serve as a point of contact for members, providers, and business partners regarding prescription status.
  • Assist with benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and claims-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with providers, payers, and members to resolve service issues and ensure timely treatment.
  • Support pharmacy claims processing and adjudication activities.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve prescription, coverage, and medication-related concerns.
  • Prepare, package, label, and distribute medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain shipment documentation and assist with tracking and delivery issue resolution.
