Job summary

Community Health Center of Snohomish County is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in delivering pharmacy services. Under supervision, you will process prescription requests, stock inventory, participate in patient assistance programs, and document third-party reimbursements.

Candidates should communicate clearly in English, work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program.
• Experience with patient services and insurance processing is preferred.
• Strong English communication and computer literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries regarding prescriptions, pricing and general information in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct periodic audits of pharmaceuticals.
• Under supervision, record medical histories and process third-party billings and prior authorizations.
• Prepare prescription labels, fill orders and release prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain patient records, reports and drug descriptions in the pharmacy system.
• Assist with patient assistance programs and daily cash handling and deposits.
