Job summary
Capsule is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Minneapolis to ensure accurate, timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. You will interpret prescription data, process orders in computer systems, generate labels, and package medications securely for delivery.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience counting/packing meds and prior authorizations, state-certified pharmacy technician status, familiarity with pharmacy terminology, and proficiency with Windows.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year counting/packing medications and prior authorizations.
- Certified pharmacy technician in the state of employment.
- Familiar with SIG codes, brand and generic names.
- Proficient with a computer and Windows applications; able to learn new systems.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and enter prescription information in compliance with state regulations.
- Process prescriptions using computer systems, compare orders and generate labels.
- Package and deliver medications following standard procedures.
- Perform quality assurance checks and contact prescribers/patients as needed.
- Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information and scanning/packing.
