Job summary

Virtua is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in dispensing and distribution functions, handling medication acquisition, storage and dispensing. This role involves preparing medications, exchanges, IV sterile product preparation, and unit-dose packaging under supervision.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with Board registration within 180 days; the position offers comprehensive benefits and a starting hourly rate range based on experience.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or GED required.
• Pharmacy technicians must apply for registration with the Board within 10 days of hire.
• Registration will be provided by the Board within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications and fills orders as written by Pharmacist.
• Performs medication exchanges, pick-ups and deliveries.
• Demonstrates knowledge of IV sterile products preparation.
• Prepare unit dose medication from bulk packaging.
• Performs inventory management and documentation.
• Maintains automated dispensing devices.
• Performs medication area inspections.
