The Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists and assist customers in person and by phone. You will input and fill prescriptions, count and package medications, and help maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. Experience is preferred, and adherence to HIPAA and company policies is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Learn to independently input patient data and medication orders.
• Count, label, and package prescription drugs and supplies.
• Submit prescriptions for third-party billing and troubleshoot.
• Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of prescription medications, OTC items, and supplies.
• Perform general cleaning and store maintenance: filing paperwork, stocking items, keeping the store clean and professional-looking.
• Work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services.
• Provide excellent customer service: greet and assist customers in person and via phone, build relationships with regular customers.
• Gain knowledge of commonly prescribed drugs, brand/generic equivalents, and therapeutic classes.
• Gain knowledge about billing third parties and resolving third-party issues.
• Learn about OTC and front-end departments; basic register functions.
