Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Los Angeles is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in a retail healthcare facility. You will assist in maintaining accurate medication distribution, verify prescriptions, and handle patient interactions under supervision.

Responsibilities include inventory management, processing prescriptions and insurance claims, updating patient records, and helping customers in person or by phone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technology Program.
• PTCB or NPTA license preferred or as required by state/contract.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensure accurate distribution of medications in the retail setting.
• Maintain drug inventory, process prescriptions, process insurance claims and maintain patient records.
• Assist pharmacy customers in person and via in bound phone calls.
