Qualifications

Role Description

The Pharmacy Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Los Angeles, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and processing prescriptions, assisting pharmacists with compounding tasks, and ensuring that all medications are accurately labeled and documented. The role involves maintaining inventory, restocking supplies, and monitoring expiration dates to support efficient pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Technician also provides courteous customer service, answers patient inquiries within scope, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of prescription processing and medication handling, with the ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately.
• Experience working in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a compounding or retail environment, with familiarity in pharmacy operations and workflows.
• Background or certification as a Pharmacy Technician, including understanding of pharmacy technicians' responsibilities and regulations.
• Skills in inventory control, including tracking stock levels, managing ordering needs, and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, respond to questions professionally, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program and current pharmacy technician license or registration in California preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management systems is beneficial.
