Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and ensuring safe, efficacious care. The role involves on-site work with weekend rotation and multiple weekday shifts, contributing to patient care across acute, ambulatory, and other practice sites.

Responsibilities include using pharmacy technology, handling records, assisting with inventory, and maintaining accuracy.

Formación

• The position requires high school or equivalent education.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to the state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with all phases of pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision.
• Answer phones and provide customer service.
• Collect patient information and maintain records as required.
• Prepare medication orders and perform calculations; assist in compounding as appropriate.
• Verify controlled substance inventories and ensure security and cost effectiveness.
• Package and label medications accurately and maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy.
