Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for PRN shifts including day and afternoon coverage, some weekends and holidays. You will assist pharmacists, fill and label medications, maintain inventories, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include accurate data entry, contacting caregivers, participating in quality initiatives, and supporting 340B/Charging management as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for the practice of pharmacy and drug distribution.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; sterile compounding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of pharmacy services under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Answers phones and provides excellent customer service as appropriate to practice site.
• Maintains medication supplies and inventories, including controlled substances.
• Packages, labels, and prepares medications for dispensing with accuracy.
• Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participates in quality initiatives.
• Participates in department meetings and supports 340B/Charging management as needed.
