Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient pharmacy team. The role supports pharmacists in dispensing, compounding, and patient care across the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and distribution of drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations; compounds medications as needed.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s).
• Fills and maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories and 340B/Charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers about responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
