Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy in Hamilton, OH. The role involves dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and performing clerical duties.

Hours: 8-hour shifts Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:00pm and Fri 8:00am-4:00pm. Location: 1490 University Blvd., Hamilton, OH. Competitive benefits are offered along with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio (includes registered, ceritified or trainee license)
• Ability to work onsite at 1490 University Blvd. Hamilton, OH, 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:00am-4:00pm
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
