Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in patient care activities and medication preparation. This role emphasizes coordination with providers and staff to ensure accurate patient-specific medications.
The candidate will use the pharmacy computer system, assist with inventory, and participate in onboarding new staff. A High School diploma and PTCB/NHA certification are required; relevant Pennsylvania licensure is expected.

The pharmacy technician works as an extension of the pharmacist, performing duties related to patient, provider, and customer care. The technician is a certified technician who has more responsibility with care activities which include (but not limited to) preparing patient specific medications for distribution, interacting with non-pharmacist health professionals to coordinate patient medication services, and interacting with patients to collect information for pharmacists.
