Position Summary

The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician is a staff-level role at MultiCare, assisting with manipulative and non-discretionary functions of pharmacy practice. You will apply organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, verifying items received against invoices
• Store received items and maintain stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices or packing slips upon receipt
• Enter customer medication and billing information into the computer system
• Answer and screen telephone calls, forwarding as needed
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
• Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail only)
