Job summary
UC Davis Health is seeking a Pharmacist 2 to provide comprehensive dispensing and clinical pharmaceutical services in ambulatory settings. You will supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensure safe and accurate medication delivery, and offer expert consultation to patients and health care providers.
This 100% on-site role requires hospital outpatient experience and a strong clinical focus within a busy, 24/7 pharmacy network.
Qualifications
- Licensed California Pharmacist in good standing.
- Immunization certification required.
- BLS/CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross or UC Davis Health).
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent training.
- Recent outpatient retail pharmacist experience (last 2 years).
- Experience performing QA and order verification.
- Patient counseling experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal formulary and third-party billing systems.
- Ability to perform pharmacy calculations accurately.
- Ability to interpret physicians' orders, pharmacy and nursing records.
- Knowledge of current hospital formulary terminology and drug names.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
Responsibilities
- Participates in drug distribution (70%).
- Engages in clinical activities (20%).
- Contributes to administrative activities (10%).
