Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications and uses inventory procedures.
• Orders items, stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose picks.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Job Description

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 2 - Medication History to join the team. This role will be full-time rotating days/evening shift. Every other weekend.

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.

Education: High School or GED.

Experience: One (1) year experience.

Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Requirement:

Experience: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician hospital experience .
