Job summary

Forum Extended Care Services in Northern IL invites a Pharmacy Cycle Fill Technician to join our long-term care pharmacy team. You will accurately retrieve, count, measure, prepare, package, and label medications and non-sterile compounds.

This role supports cycle medication preparation for residents, maintains inventory, and ensures compliance with regulations and patient protocols. We offer a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, life insurance, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois Pharmacy Technicians licensed before 2008).
• Experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy preferred; 1–2 years' pharmacy experience required.
• Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve, count, measure, prepare, package, and label medications and non-sterile compounds.
• Operate and maintain packaging technology and/or manual dispensing equipment for cycle medications.
• Comply with government regulations, standards of practice, policies, procedures and patient protocols.
• Assist in maintaining and managing inventory and supplies at work stations.
• Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
• Participate in quality improvement programs to meet standards.

What you'll do as a Pharmacy Cycle Fill Technician

• Operate and properly maintain computerized packaging technology and/or use manual dispensing equipment and processes to accurately prepare cycle medications for residents of long-term care facilities.
• Comply with all applicable government regulations, standards of practice, company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
• Assist in maintaining and managing inventory and supplies as they relate to work stations.
• Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
• Take part in quality improvement programs to meet company and accreditation standards.

What we need
