Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure medications and supplies are provided accurately and promptly, in compliance with regulatory standards. The role includes selecting medications for dispensing, sterile compounding, and delivering items to the correct location.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Intern License, and National Certification within 2 years.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License.
  • National Certification required within 2 years of hire (if not intern).
  • Previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Accurately select medications for dispensing; compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
  • Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base; participate in process improvement.
  • Perform basic compounding and calculations; communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.

Variable shift work - Days (05:30am-2:00pm, 06:00am-2:30pm) and Evening shift (1:30pm-10pm, 2pm-10:30pm) and rotating weekend, holiday shift responsibilities.

Make a Difference

The Pharmacy Technician will ensure that medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.

Your exceptional skills

Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing, compound sterile products using aseptic technique, deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion, maintain contemporary professional knowledge base, participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement. Perform basic compounding and calculations, communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License

Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience preferred.

National Certification required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern
