Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis Eastside is seeking a Sr Pharmacy Technician to perform the duties of a pharmacy technician and advanced technician work in compliance with Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.

A key responsibility for this data driven role includes accurate and timely data entry for medication orders, patient profiles, and inventory management, along with inbound and outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

  • Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing.
  • National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
  • 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required.
  • 2 -3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing
  • Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques
  • Deliver medications, and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion
  • Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base
  • Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement
  • Perform basic compounding and calculations
  • Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.

TheSr Pharmacy Technicianwill perform the duties of a pharmacy technician,and advanced technician work, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards. A key responsibility for this data driven role includes accurate and timely data entry for medication orders, patient profiles, and inventory management. In addition, you will be managing inbound and outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.
