Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, inventory control and patient-centered service. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration within the pharmacy team.

You will assist with sterile compounding, manage stock, and deliver medications and supplies across the hospital while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• BLS certification not required unless assigned to direct patient care responsibilities.
• Ongoing competency validation and continuing education maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications according to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with sterile compounding while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Replenish automated dispensing systems and storage areas to ensure availability.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and supplies, monitor stock levels and rotations.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas in a timely, accurate manner.
• Support medication distribution processes and pharmacy operations for efficiency.
• Maintain pharmacy records and documentation per guidelines.

Pay Range $19.47 - $27.25 Schedule Information Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: M-F, 8a-5p

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll support pharmacy services through medication preparation, inventory management, distribution activities, and patient-centered service.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and distribute medications in accordance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with sterile compounding activities while maintaining established quality and safety standards.
• Replenish automated dispensing systems and medication storage areas to ensure medication availability throughout the organization.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and supplies by monitoring stock levels, rotating inventory, and assisting with purchasing and replenishment activities.
• Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to patient care areas in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support medication distribution processes and assist with pharmacy operations to promote efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain pharmacy records, medication inventories, and required documentation according to organizational, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assist pharmacists with operational, clerical, and medication-related activities as permitted by scope of practice.
• Support medication safety initiatives that promote quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
