Job summary

Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will support pharmacists, help patients access medications, and ensure safe, efficient operation of the pharmacy.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, insurance adjudication, inventory management, and high-quality customer service in a community health setting. North Carolina certification or PTCB is preferred, with a patient-focused, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; NC tech certification and/or PTCB preferred.
• Experience in a community pharmacy and familiarity with pharmacy software.
• Immunization delivery certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Perform data entry, insurance adjudication, counting, packaging and labeling.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Support inventory management and organize medications and supplies.
• Process POS transactions and deliver excellent customer service.

Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our growing pharmacy team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about patient care, values accuracy and efficiency, and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment.As a Pharmacy Technician at MCHP, you will play an important role in supporting our pharmacists, helping patients access medications, and ensuring the pharmacy operates safely and effectively. Your work directly contributes to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Perform prescription data entry, insurance adjudication, medication counting, packaging, and labeling.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and provide excellent customer service throughout the patient experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone.
• Answer questions and assist patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
• Serve patients through the pharmacy drive-thru in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED. North Carolina Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or PTCB certification.
• Experience: Previous experience in a community pharmacy, preferred. Experience with pharmacy software and point-of sale systems. Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification, preferred.
