Job summary

North Mississippi Primary Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe, timely medication service by assisting the pharmacist with prescriptions and records. You will process and prepare prescriptions, update patient files, and help manage inventory while communicating clearly with patients and clinical staff.

Your typical day runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch, offering a structured schedule in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting.
• Comfort using pharmacy software and standard pharmacy tools.
• CPhT preferred.

What You’ll Handle

As a Pharmacy Technician, you support safe, timely medication service for patients by helping the pharmacist keep prescriptions accurate and organized. You will process and prepare prescriptions for dispensing, update and maintain patient and prescription records, and help manage medication inventory and supplies. You will also communicate clearly with patients and clinical staff while following pharmacy regulations and internal procedures. Required qualifications/skills:

A Typical Workday

Your day runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch. You’ll start by reviewing the queue and priority items, then move between focused workstation time and the service counter as needs shift. Expect steady pacing, frequent patient questions, and coordination with the care team to keep information clear and up to date. The day ends with a final check that work is complete, the area is in order, and the next shift starts cleanly.
