Job summary

Providence is looking for an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician based in Olympia, Washington. This role supports clinical pharmacists by managing patient appointments and documenting necessary information. Key qualifications include a high school diploma, a Pharmacy Technician License in Washington, and relevant certification within two years. Experience in pharmacy settings, paired with customer service skills, is also desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician essential.

Description

The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice by handling appointments, gathering and documenting patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers. This role provides expertise in prior authorizations as applicable and may administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Washington Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
• National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire, if applicable.
• 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB qualified, or 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience if without National Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or training in a Pharmacy Technician program (may be required in some states).
• 1 year of Customer Service experience.
