Pharmacy Technician at Providence Home Services Oregon in Portland, Oregon

Full Time / Day Shift

Performs all typical duties of a retail, mail order, and specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicates with and serves the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Maintains advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy (advanced skills may include immunization administration, MTM).

Fills physician orders for patient medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Communicates with and serves the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Maintains advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy (e.g., immunization administration, MTM).

Required qualifications
  • Oregon Pharmacy Technician License at the time of hire, or
  • Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician at the time of hire, or
  • Compliance with Providence Health and Services-OR HR policy #302 Background Checks; criminal background check required based on duties.
  • 1 year of pharmacy practice experience (2080 hours)
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • For internal promotion candidates: competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician; external candidates must have equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications
  • Coursework/training and graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program
  • National Certification and/or CPhT
