Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Denton location. This full-time evening position operates 8 PM–6 AM on weekdays and 6 PM–6 AM on weekends, with a rotating weekend schedule.

Under pharmacist supervision, the technician will review orders, prepare and deliver medications/IVs, restock cabinets, assist with purchasing, and help train new staff. Texas registration and IV certification are required.

Qualifications

• One year hospital pharmacy experience including IV admixture preparation.
• Registered in Texas as a Pharmacy Technician.
• ACPE IV certification required.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare, deliver, and charge medications/IVs.
• Restock ADC cabinets and par meds/IVs; assist with purchasing and repackaging.
• Train new personnel and perform related duties as assigned.

Shift

Full Time (evenings; rotating weekends). 8 PM - 6 AM weekdays, 6 PM - 6 AM Saturday and Sunday (7 days on / 7 days off).

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for non‑judgmental aspects of order review and entry; preparation, delivery, and charging of medication/IVs; restocking of ADC cabinets and par medications/IVs; purchasing; repackaging; training of new personnel and performance of related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) hospital pharmacy experience including preparation of IV admixtures.
• Registered in Texas as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Annual certification by PTCB preferred.
• IV Therapy; ACPE IV certification required.
• PharmTech Pharmacy Technician License.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Must be able to type and perform dose calculations.
• Understands that failure to follow established SOPs for hazardous drugs could potentially lead to risk of adverse effects including but not limited to skin rashes, reproductive effects, chronic effects, and cancer.
