Job summary

Cape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide full-time on-site services to the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton, California.

The total hourly pay is $33.49 (base $28.56 plus $4.93 Health & Welfare) for up to 40 hours per week under the SCLS regulations, with a benefits package including holidays, paid leave, health/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by ASHP or a formal military/medical services program.
• US citizen with authorization to work in the United States.
• PTCB certification.
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Fill new outpatient prescriptions, refill prescriptions, and enter orders into databases.
• Support information requests, monitor drug interactions, and report adverse reactions.
• Inspect drug storage, review expired supplies, and produce workload reports.
• Place new orders, stock shelves, maintain inventory, and generate in-stock reports.
• Attend staff meetings and produce reports.
• Prepare inpatient medications at Camp Pendleton, including sterile preparations.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is$33.49.This is comprised of a base hourly rate of 28.56 plus $4.93per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations.This rate represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid leave, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
• Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
• Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
• Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock reports.
• Attend Pharmacy staff meetings and produce reports.
• Prepare inpatient medications at NH Camp Pendleton, including compounded sterile preparations.

Job Requirements

• Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.
• Must be a US Citizen and have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation.
