Neighborhood Health Center in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centered service and accurately dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.

Based at our Mattina location, 300 Niagara Street, the role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, attention to detail, and strong computer skills; the position offers weekday shifts, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.

• Receive written prescriptions from patients and verify information on the prescriptions is complete.
• Process confidential information in accordance with state and federal laws.

As a pharmacy technician, you’ll have an important role in the patient experience at Neighborhood. And, you won’t be working weekends! We’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

About the Role:

As a pharmacy technician, kindness and fairness are key as you use your customer service skills when you interact with patients. Attention to detail is important to you, so you can accurately dispense prescriptions to patients. Responsibilities include:

• Retrieve medication from shelves, count medication, and label containers under the direct supervision of the pharmacist on duty
• Enter data, including patient demographics, medication information and directions on patient profiles in database
• Receive written prescriptions from patients and verify information on the prescriptions is complete
• Process confidential information in accordance with state and federal laws

You will be primarily based at our Mattina location, 300 Niagara Street in Buffalo.
