Job summary

Community Health Network in Anderson, IN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for night shift (Third Shift: 7 days on - 7 days off, 8:45 pm - 7:15 am). The role requires accurate dispensing, sterile compounding, and delivering medications to the correct locations within our facilities.

Qualifying candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License, and National Certification within 2 years if not intern.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Licensed or intern license in Indiana for Pharmacy Technicians.
  • National Certification required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern.

Responsibilities

  • Select medications for dispensing accurately and efficiently.
  • Compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
  • Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge base.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and implementation.
  • Perform basic compounding and calculations.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff in a positive, professional manner.

Make a difference
The Pharmacy Technician will ensure that medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.

Your exceptional skills

Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing, compound sterile products using aseptic technique, deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion, maintain contemporary professional knowledge base, participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement. Perform basic compounding and calculations, communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License

Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience preferred.

National Certification required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern
