Job summary

ERP International, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time role supporting the Pharmacy Department at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Excellent compensation, comprehensive benefits, plus CME stipend and 401K are highlighted in the posting.

Normal hours are 0730-1630, Monday-Friday, with inpatient and ER areas operating 24/7. Requires ASHP/Military training, PTCB certification, and ability to obtain a government clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree/certificate as pharmacy technician.
• ASHP-accredited program OR military medical services training program in pharmacy.
• PTCB certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Ability to pass Government background check/security clearance.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Dispense prescriptions, fill orders, and enter orders into databases.
• Support new/refill prescriptions, patient requests, physician requests, monitor drug interactions, report adverse reactions.
• Conduct quality improvement duties: drug storage inspection, expired supplies review, and workload reporting.
• Manage supply: place orders, stock shelves, inventory, and not-in-stock reports.

Responsibilities

Schedule:

Normal business hours are 0730-1630, Monday-Friday. Inpatient wards, Emergency Room, and ancillary areas operate on a 24/7 basis.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
• Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
• Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
• Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

*** Degree:** Certificate.

*** Education:** Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program)or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military .

*** Certification:** Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

*** Experience:** One year of experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation.

*** Security** : Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

*** Life Support Certification:** Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
