Job summary

Global Dynamics LLC is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide comprehensive pharmacy support at Mountain Home Air Force Base. The role supports outpatient operations, prescription processing, dispensing, and inventory management in a medical facility environment.

The ideal candidate has ASHP-accredited technician training, current PTCB and BLS certifications, and US citizenship, with at least 1 year of experience. On-site required, driving may be needed, HIPAA and DoD policies apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Fill outpatient prescriptions and process refills.
• Enter prescription and medication orders into pharmacy databases.
• Assist with patient requests for new and refills.
• Support requests from physicians and other healthcare personnel.
• Monitor prescriptions for potential drug interactions.
• Identify and report adverse drug reactions.
• Inspect medication storage and inventory.
• Prepare workload and reports and documentation.
• Place orders as required and stock shelves.

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician

Position Purpose: Global Dynamics, LLC is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide comprehensive pharmacy support services at the 366th Medical Group located at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The Pharmacy Technician will support outpatient pharmacy operations, prescription processing, medication dispensing, inventory management, patient and provider requests, and pharmacy quality improvement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures and functions.
• Fill new outpatient prescriptions and process prescription refills.
• Enter prescription and medication orders into applicable pharmacy databases and systems.
• Assist with patient requests related to new and refill prescriptions.
• Support requests and inquiries from physicians and other authorized healthcare personnel.
• Assist in monitoring prescriptions for potential drug interactions.
• Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct medication and pharmaceutical storage inspections.
• Review medications and supplies for expiration dates and proper storage.
• Prepare pharmacy workload, error, and other required reports and documentation.
• Place pharmaceutical and supply orders as required.
• Stock and restock pharmacy shelves and work areas.
• Maintain accurate pharmaceutical and supply inventories.
• Prepare and maintain reports concerning out-of-stock or unavailable medications and supplies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and applicable DoD/MTF policies and procedures.
• Complete required facility training and participate in quality improvement activities, meetings, and other authorized administrative functions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduate of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician program, other formal pharmacy technical program, or U.S. military medical services training program.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience after graduation.
• Current PTCB certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Working Conditions and Environment

This position is on-site in a medical facility. Driving may be required.

Physical Requirements

The position requires repetitive motion, such as standing, walking, sitting and bending. Light lifting, up to 20 pounds, may be required.
