Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Registry on the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as Registered/Certified/Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
• Good listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to determine dosages using basic pharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate drug and verifies NDC for inventory; maintains appropriate inventory levels.
• Counts and prepares medications for pharmacist dispensing; handles controlled substances with accuracy.
• Packages, labels, and shelves products; uses pharmacy computer system to update patient profiles and billing.
• Provides outstanding customer service and maintains confidentiality.
• Process transactions through the pharmacy POS system with accuracy.
• Refer drug questions to pharmacist in charge; complete monthly continuing education.
