Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to oversee pharmacy technician functions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role focuses on supervision, storage security, audits, and quality control within a hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a preferred associate or bachelor degree, 3 years inpatient hospital experience, and active pharmacy technician registration with national certification (CPhT) and CSP

• State Board of Pharmacy Registration required.
• National Certification (CPhT) required.
• ACPE or ASHP Compounded Sterile Products Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising other technicians to ensure policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Maintain medication storage and security per regulatory requirements.
• Accurately perform audits as assigned.
• Monitor compliance for quality control and performance improvement functions.
• Optimize technician workflow and continuous improvement processes.
• Document monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security as per regulatory requirements throughout the organization.
• You will accurately perform audits as assigned.
• You will perform and monitor compliance for quality control and performance improvement functions as assigned.
• You will optimize technician workflow and continuous improvement process.
• You will accurately perform and document monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Associate or Bachelor degree is preferred
• 6 months experience in personnel management is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years inpatient hospital experience is required
• State Board of Pharmacy Registration (if applicable as per State) Required
• National Certification (CPhT) is required
• ACPE or ASHP Compounded Sterile Products Certification is required
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician as per State requirements is required
