Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor in Florida to oversee advanced and basic technician duties within our hospital network.

You will supervise technicians, ensure policy compliance, maintain medication storage securely, and perform audits and quality control activities.

The role emphasizes workflow optimization, monthly inspections, and adherence to state registrations and national certifications to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • 6 months experience in personnel management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years inpatient hospital experience is required.
  • State Board of Pharmacy Registration (if applicable as per State) Required
  • National Certification (CPhT) is required
  • ACPE or ASHP Compounded Sterile Products Certification is required
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician as per State requirements is required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise other technicians to ensure policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Maintain medication storage and security per regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately perform audits as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance for quality control and performance improvement functions.
  • Optimize technician workflow and continuous improvement processes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for accurately performing advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions.

What will you do in this role:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security as per regulatory requirements throughout the organization.
  • You will accurately perform audits as assigned.
  • You will perform and monitor compliance for quality control and performance improvement functions as assigned.
  • You will optimize technician workflow and continuous improvement process.
  • You will accurately perform and document monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned.
