Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. You will prepare and dispense medications in accordance with standard procedures, document records, and support pharmacists in daily operations.

The overnight position offers 7 days on / 7 days off, with responsibilities including counting, packaging, labeling unit doses, preparing IV mixtures, maintaining inventory, and contributing to hospital-wide improvement goals while following safety

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy knowledge including medical terminology and drug names.
  • Current FL registered tech or intern license.
  • CphT certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Count, package, and label unit doses for pharmacist inspection.
  • Assist pharmacists with filling orders and preparing labels.
  • Perform quality control and auditing of medications.
  • Prepare IV mixtures and operate automated systems.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory and perform clerical duties.
  • Support hospital-improvement initiatives and report errors per guidelines.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking Registered Pharmacy Technician. We are looking for dedicated professionals like you to be a part of our Pharmacy team. As our Pharmacy Tech you would prepare and dispense drugs in accordance with the standard procedures. You will also document and maintain appropriate records. What you will do in this role:
  • You will count, package, and label unit dosis for inspection by pharmacist.
  • You will assist pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels.
  • You will perform quality control and auditing functions to ensure that all medications are appropriately available to caregivers.
  • You will prepare I.V. mixtures and operate automated systems.
  • You will maintain pharmacy inventory and perform clerical duties.
  • You will actively contribute to work toward hospital improvement meeting the core measures and service excellence goals.
  • You will be required to follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Current FL Registered Pharmacy Tech; or Florida licensed pharmacy intern.
  • Pharmacy Tech Certification (CphT) preferred
  • Pharmacy knowledge including medical terminology and prescriptions drug names.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, PC skills, analytical skills, and clerical skills.
