Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - DMC Campus in Detroit, MI is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Tech to join our team under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will fill orders, prepare IV admixtures and extemporaneous preparations, maintain inventory, and keep patient records confidential.

Qualifications include a valid Pharmacy Technician license in Michigan, high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license if delivering.

Responsibilities

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - DMC Campus, located in Detroit, MI is a 28 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs a wide variety of technical and clerical duties related to the hospital drug distribution system. Duties would include filling physician orders by preparing and distributing medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining confidential patient records. May participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.

Required Skills

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment required.
• Valid driver’s license necessary in states with multiple facilities requiring delivering to sites.
