Qualifications

• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.

• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (e.g., HIPAA, Methamphetamine, FWA, I-pledge).

Responsibilities

• Takes steps to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company procedures; retrieves, counts, pours or measures, and labels accurately.
• Responds to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors within legal scope.
• Maintains state and federal record keeping for controlled substances; assists with monthly CII audits.
• Understands procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products.
• Stocks pharmacy product orders and rotates stock; assists in training other technicians.
• Adheres to appearance and dress code standards; performs other duties as assigned.
